DETROIT SOCIAL CLUB @ THE SUGARMILL TONIGHT!
8/2/10
Initially the solo project of Heaton-based songwriter David Burn who has since assembled a band by culling members from various local outfits. Incredibly soulful, their tunes range from Jack Nitzsche-inspired psychedelia, complete with rolling drums and spectral plucking to acoustic singalongs. It can be argued that it is the more…

live entertainment

The Sugarmill is a 400 capacity live music venue and nightclub in the city centre of Stoke-on-Trent. Open since 1994 we've hosted literally hundreds and hundreds of bands many of whom have gone on to massive success: Coldplay, Trivium, Muse and The Libertines being just four examples. We actively promote the local band scene and also try and bring some of the bigger names back to the city to play at The Victoria Hall and Keele University.
